The plastic Spiral Elements were developed for adhesives and sealant mixing applications. The mixer consists of a series of left and right hand spiral elements. TAH’s mixer have "Apple core" cross section. This patented geometry ensures a longer life, 30% grater flow rate and will flush clean using less solvent. The elements are injection moulded in one operation, which ensures excellent quality and low unit costs.

The elements are stocked in two engineering plastics, which are described below. If required, the elements can also be supplied in other plastics, such as Kynar™.

Polyplas™ is our proprietary plastic developed to have the toughness and chemical inertness required by the adhesives and sealants industry. Polyplas is completely inert to all common solvents, such as MEK, acetone, and methylene chloride. Its maximum service temperature is 250 deg F. polyplas is not recommended for mixing water and acids.

Polypropylene is a polyolefin, which has excellent chemical resistance. It is inert to water, as well as acids and bases. Its maximum service temperature is 200 deg F.
